I literally burst out laughing after reading this blog post.
Improv Everywhere (if you haven't ever visited this site, YOU MUST DO SO IMMEDIATELY!) thought it would be a cool and exciting project. It was a huge hit! Really, this one photo hardly does justice to the comedy of this project. Please, please, please read! :)

Thx!
I got this from Joanna over at A Cup of Jo. How cute is this?? Leah, such a gem, started a blog to show off her thank you note skills, just because her mother always encouraged her to write a proper thank you note growing up. My mom trained me well, too, insisting I write thank you's for every gift and well-wish. I've come to appreciate thank you notes as a lost art. Nobody (and I mean, hardly anyone!!) does thank you notes any more. So, these simply made my day. Plus, they're funny! Enjoy! :)
(She has a book that I desperately want to have!)
(Perhaps my favy so far!)

Halloween is upon us.
In that spirit, check out this fun website, extremepumpkins.com. This guy is awesome. He has totally dedicated his life to pumpkin carving, because it's "something I enjoy," he said. Cool, huh??
Check out the contest winners from 2009...
Check out the contest winners from 2009...
I'm carving pumpkins with my pals tonight, but I highly doubt mine will measure up to these. I'm kinda psyched to see the contest winners for this year.
Happy Thursday!

Haunted House Weekend!
People who say, "I'm too old for that" are absolutely out of their minds! I'm gonna hang onto my childhood forever.
This past weekend, I went to a Haunted House with some pals, and it was the MOST FUN. (Plus, Kristin had a coupon! Yay for cheap fun!) Not gonna like, I planned to be brave...
Fail.

Dumb and Dumber, Inception Style
I'm a Dumb & Dumber FANatic! Like... Hard core. Challenge me, I can quote the whole stinkin' movie.
Welp, I caught a funny video from my friend Matt earlier today. Died laughing! Have you seen Inception? (SO intense. I need to see it again, so I can catch some things I missed...) Here's promotional video for Dumb and Dumber, Inception style. Enjoy!

Crossing the Street
Welcome back to Phoenix, Lauren. You're not in New York; you're on Mill Avenue. Follow the rules. Stay on the sidewalk until the pedestrian sign lights up. You simply cannot wait in the intersection. Otherwise, you may get killed.

You get in the bowl!
This made me laugh today. Thought I might share. :) Enjoy!

Well, if you weren't sure...
This flow chart seems to help you figure it out... I think it would be kind of fun to frame and stick above your bathroom sink.

Flower Clips for Baby Kate
Bless my dear Sister's heart! For the longest time she tried so hard to keep Baby Kate from touching the flower clips in her hair. My Sister would put it in. Baby Kate would pull it out, then insist my Sister put it back in. My Sister would put it back in, Baby Kate would pull it out, then insist she put it back in. They would go round and round all day... Until now. Looky, looky... I do believe she's over her silly little game.
Picnic on the Roof
To celebrate our graduations and transition to adulthood (whatever that is), we decided to invite friends from our programs over to the apartment for a picnic party on the roof. The weather was downright gorgeous and the sunset was the perfect encore to the evening. We had sexy sangria and some delightful little snacks. Aaron even made his famous bruschetta!
Chchchcheck it out!
We even had a staring contest! I got the idea from A Cup of Jo several months back and I've been dying to try it out. My pals were a little skeptical at first, but we were all laughing by the end.

Ahh, the night was truly magical!

Dance, and I'll unlock the door!
How cute is this couple? She locks him out of the house until he agrees to bust a move! I loveee it!

Children in a Box
I went out to breakfast with my gal pal Amanda this morning. While driving around looking for a parking space (parking in the city = absolutely horrible), we wound up following around a young woman who was on her way to school... On a bike... With her children...
Financially savvy with a dash of creativity? Absolutely. Bonding time for you and your tots? For sure. Still sort of odd looking? You bet.
P.S. Love her jacket!

Dork Yearbook
Please visit dorkyearbook.com. I found a link for it on swiss-miss.com while perusing earlier today. So funny! It's a collection of photos taken during the "awkward phase" of childhood. They appear to be slacking on their postings, but those that are available are so hilarious. Surely I could add a few from the Lauren & Melanie album for this collection.
A lot of the photos posted are from the 80's. Can you imagine 20-25 years from now what will be considered dorky from our generation??

Caroline's
Last Tuesday, my good pal Matt introduced me to Caroline's School of Comedy. SO AMAZING! They're hosting an event called March Madness - 64 comedians, 4 weeks, 1 winner. As it turns out, Matt's friend performed in the first round, so that was how he heard about it. A lot of the comedians had some good jokes, causing major uproars. Some of them, however, kind of sucked. But! Next Tuesday, those who fought to stick around last Tuesday will give it another try. Ahh! I'm psyched!

Funny Chicken
I can't help it. I love stupid commercials. This one KILLS me. This man gets TOLD by a chicken wing! It's a TUMS commercial... But funny nonetheless.

New York Lottery Commercial
It's corny, I know...
But I'm such a sucker for a funny commercial. I saw this commercial last week and I've been scouring the internet for it all week. I finally found it! I'm totes in love with Boston's "More Than a Feeling," and I'm pretty sure the NY Lottery nailed it on the head. Plus, the guy in this video makes me wanna die laughing! Enjoy!

Bigger smiles, better laughs?
Several weeks ago, while trying to persuade Alix to take a picture with me, she stated: "Open your mouth while you smile, it looks like you're having more fun!" So she finally got on board to take a photo with me. (She hates pictures!)
Well, this past weekend, Alix, AmyJane, and I tried the whole mouth-open smile technique again... And these are just silly! (Please excuse my cell phone's crummy picture quality.) We look like we're laughing creepily and hysterically. And when I say "we," I mean "me." ;)

She said whatttt???
So Alix, my dear roommate, made a wonderful blog suggestion to me yesterday. She knows how much I love the whole blog world...
This blog is DOWNRIGHT hilarious!
Overheard in New York...
It's an open forum for people to post the silly things they hear in New York City. (Please note, some of these are kind of gross...)
My favorites...
Conductor: You do not want to take the 4 or the 5, because they will not be setting any land speed records.
--6 Train
Guy: She's vegetarian?! I thought she was an alcoholic?
--B7 bus
Stylish 20-something woman to overweight pug breathing heavily: Well, Winifred, you're out of breath because you're out of shape. (pause) No, you're not fat. You're voluminous. (pause) Yes, I am aware it's not all your fault. Mummy likes to watch you eat powder doughnuts. (pause) Pugs that look like they have a coke habit are very funny for mummy, yes they are.
--Central Park
Conductor: This train is very crowded. If you cannot fit, please step back and wait for the next train. If you manage to get onto this very crowded train, look at the person next to you and tell them, "Howdy!"
--Queens bound F train
And, they don't stop there! You can take a peek at...
