Tonight, Alix, Jennifer, and I took a trip downtown to partake in the festivities for Fashion's Night Out - NYC. It was totally phenom. (The rain was kinda crummy, but nonetheless - totally phenom.) Their goal (from the website)...
"In a global initiative to promote retail, restore consumer confidence, and celebrate fashion, US and international editions of Vogue are coordinating evening extravaganzas in their respective world fashion capitals."
Just makes your heart sing, doesn't it?? Honestly, I haven't lost my consumer confidence; I still love to shop regardless of my bank account simmering, sadly sans any worthwhile funds... Regardless, it's pretty refreshing to see multiple countries (US, UK, Greece, Italy, Russia, France, Brazil, India, Spain, China, German, Japan, Taiwan) come together to make people happy over something as special as fashion.
Naturally, we were up to some ridiculous shenanigans. We swooped by MadeWell for free cocktails. And we took a dip through Bloomingdales... And of course, we swung by the MeatPacking District to get a wiff of the designer couture in that neighborhood.
While mingling around the village, you can imagine where we wound up at the end of the night...
Did someone say Magnolia? :)
This guy is out of the loopty loop. How did I not know how fantastic your writing is?
