I just love taking photos of "Happy Things" I see and/or experience while I'm out and about and then sending them to my pals. I've taken some real gems recently, but this one I keep coming back to... On Amsterdam, between 59th and 58th streets, there is a sweet word carved into the concrete. You can see it just before you hit 58th, heading south, on the east side of the road.
Several years ago, my girlfriends and I made a habit of addressing each other by "lover." It became a thing, and now it's down-right expected in regular conversation. Nonetheless, it puts a smile on our faces on a regular basis. So, seeing the glorified word etched into the sidewalk is simply a buzz of energy for me.
